San Angelo Offers Host of Options for Retirees, Seniors

For a city of less than 100‚000‚ San Angelo certainly has a lot of options when it comes to retirement living. More than a dozen retirement facilities are sprinkled around the city‚ and they offer a host of amenities.
Rio Concho Communities‚ for exam ple‚ offers bonuses such as exercise rooms‚ libraries‚ beauty shops‚ RV parking and hook-ups‚ walking trails and TV lounges. Rio Concho operates four facilities in San Angelo‚ ranging from apartment living at Rio Concho Manor to patio homes at Rio Concho West.
“We also have an activity director who plans outings for our residents‚” says Jolene Hart‚ marketing and sales director for Rio Concho Communities. “They go to the symphony‚ out to eat‚ to the civic theater and various community events. They can be as busy as they want to be. Our slogan is providing ‘Retire ment living the way it should be‚’ and that’s exactly what we try to provide.”
Baptist Memorials Center also offers a variety of accommodations. Memorials Village includes two- and three-bedroom homes‚ as well as one and two-bedroom duplexes. The center also has high-rise apartments with cafeteria dining‚ home health services‚ a computer club and Christian fellowship opportunities. Amenities at Baptist Memorials Center facilities include chapel services‚ maid service‚ a campus nurse‚ exercise equipment‚ a music room‚ craft area‚ two libraries‚ beauty shops‚ card/game rooms and free scheduled transportation.
Additional retirement facilities in San Angelo include Royal Estates‚ Christian Village‚ Village East‚ The St. Angelus‚ Myrtlewood Estates and Plaza del Sol Apartments.
